SUPER SPAGHETTI WITH MEATBALLS 
1 lb. ground beef
1 med. onion, peeled
1 carrot, peeled
1 can (28 oz.) tomatoes
1 can (6 oz.) tomato paste
1 tsp. sugar
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. basil
1/2 tsp. garlic powder
1/2 tsp. pepper
1 pkg. (8 oz.) spaghetti
Grated Parmesan cheese

Place ground beef in a large saucepan. Cook over medium heat. When meat is brown, remove from pan. (Meat should be crumbly.) Tilt pan to one side and remove all fat. Chop onion and carrot into small pieces. Stir into ground beef along with all remaining ingredients. Return pan to burner and heat to a boil, stirring occasionally. Reduce heat to low, cover and simmer for one hour. Cook partially covered for another hour. Serve over cooked spaghetti, sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.

MEATBALLS:

4 slices white bread
2 eggs
1 lb. ground beef
1/4 c. Parmesan cheese
2 tsp. parsley
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. oregano

Soak bread slices briefly in 1/4 cup water and place in large bowl. Add all other ingredients and mix well. Wet hands and form 2 dozen small balls. Brown slowly in 2 teaspoons hot oil.
