FRED'S "WORLD FAMOUS SPAGHETTI SAUCE" WITH MEATBALLS AND SAUSAGE | |
2 lbs. lean ground beef 1 c. Italian bread crumbs 1 can beef gravy 1 egg, slightly beaten 1/2 c. Italian cheese (Parmesan/Romano) SAUCE: 2 cans peeled tomatoes 1 can beef gravy 2 cans tomato paste 1/2 c. honey 2 onions, sliced 1 green pepper 6 oz. fresh mushrooms 1 clove garlic 1 lb. Italian sausage, parboiled and cut up Sauce: Mix everything together and add bay leaves, garlic, oregano, and pepper. Simmer 4 hours on low. Meatballs: Mix all ingredients (can brown in broiler). Add to sauce. |
