PASTEL DE CHOCLO CHILE 
2 tbsp. butter
1 med. onion, chopped
1/4 tsp. garlic powder
2 tbsp. flour

Cook onion in butter until limp. Add garlic and flour. Cook 1 minute. 1 c. water 1/2 tsp. each paprika & cumin 1/4 tsp. red pepper, crushed

Add to above. Cook, stirring until thick. 2 hard-cooked eggs, coarsely chopped 1/2 c. pitted black olives 1/4 c. raisins

Add to above. Spoon into 2 quart greased casserole.

TOPPING:

1/2 c. cornmeal
1/2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 egg
2 tbsp. vegetable oil
1/2 c. milk

Stir all ingredients until just blended. Spread over chicken mixture. Bake 30 minutes at 350 degrees then sprinkle with 4 to 6 teaspoons of sugar and broil until golden.
