CINNAMON ROLLS 
1/2 c. shortening
1/3 c. sugar
1 1/4 c. warm water
1 tbsp. salt
1 pkg. dry yeast
1 egg
3 to 3 1/2 c. flour

Cream shortening and sugar and add warm water. Cool. Add yeast. After yeast bubbles add beaten egg and salt. Slowly add flour, stirring after each cup i s added. Knead on floured surface. Place in greased bowl. Cover and let rise until it is doubled in size. Roll out on floured surface about 1/2 inch thick. Butter surface. Sprinkle cinnamon and sugar over butter. Roll dough into log shape and cut into 1 inch rolls. Place on greased baking pan and cover with dish towel. Let rise to doubled size. Bake at 350 degrees for 20-30 minutes.
