CINNAMON ROLLS
1/2 c. warm water (not hot)
3 pkg. dry yeast
2 c. boiling water
1 c. sugar
2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
4 eggs
1 stick butter
7 to 7 1/2 c. flour

Put the butter in a bowl and pour the hot water over the butter until it melts. Put 1 teaspoon sugar in a bowl with the yeast and warm water and stir. Let the yeast stand aside until it foams. After the butter is melted, add the sugar, salt, and vanilla. Test to see if the water is just warm before you add the eggs. Add yeast and stir it together. Add flour and mix. Put in greased bowl. Let rise 1 1/2 hours then punch it down and let rise 1 hour.

Divide dough in half. Roll out and spread with soft butter and sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon (add raisins if you like). Roll up like jelly rolls and cut in 1 inch circles. Put in greased pan and let rise 40 minutes.
