2 c. shortening (add a little more)
2 c. white sugar
2 c. brown sugar (1 box)
4 eggs
2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking powder
2 tsp. vanilla
3 c. flour (short a little)
1 3/4 c. oatmeal (3 Minute)
2 lg. pkgs or 4 sm. pkgs. chocolate chips

Mix ingredients. Drop by spoonful on ungreased cookie sheet. Place in oven (at 350 degrees) and bake until cookies are sandy brown. Take out to cool.
