TEXAS CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES 
1 c. vegetable oil
1 c. brown sugar
1 c. white sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. baking powder
Pinch of salt
1 (6 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips
2 c. quick oats

Mix first 5 ingredients with electric mixer. Mix next 4 in separate bowl and add to first mix. Use spoon to blend. Add last 2 ingredients. Let mixture stand for 20 minutes. Drop onto greased cookie sheet 5 inches apart. Leave in a mound. Bake at 350 degrees 12 minutes and leave on cookie sheet another 12 minutes to cool. (VERY IMPORTANT.) Makes 12 large cookies. Mix freezes well.
