NORWEGIAN SALAD 
1/2 head lettuce
Celery (enough to make 1 layer)
2 bell peppers
2 med. size onions
4 boiled eggs
1 sm. container fresh (or canned) mushrooms
Grated American cheese
Grated Parmesan cheese
Bacon bits

DRESSING:

2 c. mayonnaise
1/2 c. sugar
Milk

#1: Lettuce

#2: Celery

#3: Bell pepper

#4: Onion

#5: Egg

#6: Mushrooms

#7: Cheeses

#8: bacon

Layer the above, in number order in a large bowl. After the 4th layer, cover evenly with dressing. Layer again until 6th layer and spread remaining dressing over layer #6. Then place cheeses and top with bacon bits. Chill. Do not toss. Serve in layers. Very pretty in glass bowl.

Dressing: Blend mayonnaise, sugar and enough milk to make dressing. You do not want it runny.
