ALMOND PASTRY 
1 c. flour
1/2 c. butter
1 tbsp. cold water
1 c. water
1/2 c. butter
1 c. flour
3 eggs
1/2 tsp. almond extract

Mix first 3 ingredients, like pie crust. Put on cookie sheet, in two strips 3 x 16 inch. Heat to boiling 1/2 cup butter and 1 cup water. Remove from heat and add 1 cup flour. Stir in 3 eggs, one at a time, add the almond extract. Spread on top of the first mixture. Bake at 400 degrees for 45-55 minutes. Frost with 1 cup powdered sugar, 1 tablespoon butter, 1 teaspoon almond extract and enough cream to spread.
