NEW ENGLAND CORN BEEF DINNER 
2 lb. or larger brisket (corn beef)
Cabbage
Potatoes and carrots
1 onion

Put brisket in pan, cover with water. Bring to boil, then throw water away. Add lukewarm water to cover meat. Add 1 onion and lots of pepper.

Cover, cook very slowly (1 hour/pound) until soft. Remove meat from water and keep warm. Add potatoes and carrots. When almost cooked, add cabbage and cook until soft. Enjoy!
