AUNT HILDA'S PEAR SALAD 
3 oz. box lime (or other flavor) gelatin
4 oz. cream cheese
1 #1 can pears, drained
4 oz. Cool Whip

Drain pears and add water to juice to make 1 cup. Heat to boiling; stir in gelatin to dissolve. Puree pears in food processor or blender and put softened cream cheese in processor; blend together. Add to cooled gelatin and chill. When it starts to set, fold in Cool Whip. Recipe can be doubled. Orange gelatin is also good for this if you don't care for lime flavor.
