HOT MILK SPONGE CAKE 
4 eggs
2 c. sugar
2 1/2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking powder
1 c. milk
1/2 stick butter
1 tsp. vanilla

Beat eggs, add sugar and heat until very light. Sift flour, baking powder and salt. Bring milk to boiling point, adding butter. Add alternately; flour mixture, boiling milk, beating well after each addition. Last add vanilla. Bake in 2 (9") cake pans or sheet pan, greased and floured. Bake at 350 degrees until done.
