HAMBURGER STROGANOFF 
1 lb. ground beef
3 slices bacon, dried
1/2 c. chopped onion
3/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. paprika
Dash of pepper
1 can cream of chicken soup
1 c. sour cream

Brown beef with bacon. Add onion, cook until tender, but not brown. Drain off fat. Add seasonings. Stir in soup and sour cream. Cook slowly about 20 minutes. Serve over hot rice or noodles. Serves 4 to 6.

This is the recipe I learned to make in 1956 and have been making it since. I have tried cream of celery soup, added fresh mushrooms, chopped celery, roasted red peppers, all good and still a great comfort food 60 years later
