BROWN AUTUMN COOKIES | |
2 c. sifted flour 1/2 c. butter 2 1/4 c. brown sugar 3 eggs 1 c. shredded coconut 1/2 tsp. salt 2 lbs. sesame seed 1 tbsp. caraway 2 lbs. lemon juice 1 tsp. grated lemon rind 1/2 c. chopped nuts 1 c. raisins Combine flour, 1/4 cup brown sugar. Pack into well greased 9 x 12 inch pan and bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes. Beat eggs to froth and mix with remaining 2 cups brown sugar, caraway, salt, walnuts, raisins and sesame seed. Stir in lemon juice and rind, spread egg mixture over slightly. Cool mixture in pan. Bake 25 minutes. When cool, cut into pieces. makes 2 dozen. |
