HOMEMADE PLAY DOUGH 
2 c. flour
1 c. salt
4 tsp. cream of tartar
2 tbsp. vegetable oil
2 c. water
Food coloring of choice

Combine all of the ingredients in a non-stick saucepan and mix well. Put pan over medium heat and stir until the mixture begins to form large lumps and begins to boil. Take the dough off of the heat when the mixture begins to pull away from the sides of the pan. The mixture will be combination of lumps and thinner texture. Take dough out with large spoon and allow to cool on wax paper or a surface sprayed with Pam. When cooked, work dough with hands until mixed. Store in plastic bags, sealed tightly. This keeps well and gives children hours of enjoyment!
