ITALIAN ANISE COOKIES 
3 c. flour
3 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1 c. butter
3/4 c. sugar
1-3 eggs
1 tsp. each anise and lemon flavoring

Cream butter and sugar. Add dry ingredients. Add one egg at a time until dough can be formed into a ball. Form dough into small balls. Place on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes. Frost when cool with a mixture of confectioners' sugar and milk. Sprinkle with colored non-pareils.
