GLORIFIED RICE OR HAWAIIAN RICE
SALAD
 
2 cans (8 oz.) fruit cocktail
1 can (11 oz.) mandarin oranges
3 c. cooked rice (1 c. rice 2 c. water)
1/4 c. flaked coconut
1/4 c. sliced almonds
1 c. marshmallows
1/4 tsp. salt
1 c. sour cream or whipped cream
1 tbsp. sugar

Drain fruit. Add fruit liquid to cook rice. Combine fruit, coconut, nuts and marshmallows. In mixing bowl blend sour cream, sugar, salt and 1/4 cup fruit juice. Pour over rice mixture. Toss lightly. Chill.
