3 c. flour
6 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. shortening
1 c. milk
2 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla

Sift flour, salt, sugar, baking powder. Cut in shortening until mixture is like corn meal. Blend in well beaten eggs mixed with milk. Pour half the batter into a well greased and floured pan. Sprinkle with half the filling. Add remaining batter and sprinkle rest of filling on top.

FILLING:

1 c. brown sugar
4 tsp. cinnamon
2 tbsp. flour
4 tsp. butter
Chopped nuts

Combine and use.
