BEST CHOCOLATE BROWNIES 
1/2 lb. butter
2 c. sugar
6 tbsp. cocoa
1-2 c. nuts
4 eggs
1 1/2 c. self-rising flour
1/4 tsp. salt
2 tsp. vanilla

Let butter soften at room temperature. Add cocoa, sugar, then eggs, beaten thoroughly. Stir until mixed well. Add nuts and spread in well greased 9"x13" pan. Bake at 325 degrees for 20 minutes or until done. Top with Maw Maw's Best Chocolate Icing (when cool).

MAW MAW'S BEST CHOCOLATE ICING:

1 box confectioners' sugar
1 stick butter (1/4 lb.)
3 heaping tbsp. cocoa
1 dash salt
1 tsp. vanilla
1/3 c. evaporated milk

Let butter soften at room temperature. Add cocoa, salt, sugar and vanilla. Heat evaporated milk just until warm. Pour into mixture and beat until smooth and creamy.
