OLD FASHIONED POUND CAKE 
1 c. (2 sticks) butter
1/2 c. Crisco (plain or butter flavored)
3 c. sugar
5 lg. or 6 med eggs
3 c. flour plus 4 tbsp (all purpose flour)
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
NO SALT

Cream butter and crisco until very smooth. Add sugar, one cup at a time, beating well after each addition. Add eggs two at a time, beaten into the cream mixture. Sift flour and baking powder together. Add flour mix, and milk alternately, beginning and ending with flour. Add vanilla.

Grease and flour bundt pan, pour batter into pan. Bake 1 hour and fifteen minutes at 325 degrees. Do not open oven door for one hour. Cool upright in pan for 25 minutes. All ingredients need to be at room temperature before mixing.

This recipe is ABSOLUTELY PERFECT!!!! There is not a thing I would change about this recipe. I used 5 large eggs & it was absolutely wonderful.It baked almost to the minute of the time listed & came out PURE PERFECTION! I am currently about to bake 2 more ..one with Almond extract and another with Vanilla Butter Nut extract! (maybe a 3rd w/ Lemon extract) I am so happy to have found a MAGNIFICENT recipe that bakes exactly as noted!!! *TEN STAR RECIPE, not just five!*
