2 c. flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. water
1 c. sugar
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
4 tbsp. cocoa
1 c. mayonnaise
2 tsp. vanilla

Mix dry ingredients. Mix mayo and water. Add to dry ingredients. Add vanilla. Bake in square layer pan at 350 degrees about 30 minutes. Cool before removing from pan.

ICING:

2 c. sugar
1/2 c. cocoa
1/2 c. milk
1/2 c. butter

Mix in pot. Boil 1 minute. Cool. Beat until thick. Nuts may be added if desired.
