I tried this recipe and it came out soo good

Use Golden Mushroom soup, even better. Husband said it was a little salty so I used about 3/4 Lipton soup, and put in big iron skillet in over for about an hour. Fantastic!

This is also great baked in the oven at 350°F for 2 1/2 hrs. or until tender. Either way is great. I didn't have any Lipton so I substituted fresh onion. I add a little Worcestershire too. Even the five year old ate it :-) I served mine over egg wide noodles.

We smother almost anything here in Louisiana. This method will work on almost any meat. Chuck steak or a small Chuck roast works best and is very cheap. As for the comments about meat still being tough, just increase your simmer time. You can get anything tender if you cook it long enough.

I loved the sauce but even after simmering for 1 hour and 20 minutes, the meat was not tender enough. I thought the simmering would make the meat more tender. I will definitely make this again, i will probably make it with sirloin. Very quick and easy!

If changing your cook time for this doesn't help with the toughness try adding coca-cola to it. The acid in the coke will tenderize the meat and adds a slight tangy flavor to the gravy. This works great in a crock pot, I think it would work in a skillet too. The recipe is very similar to coke roast, just in a skillet and doesn't have potatoes and carrots.

I have made this gravy with pork chops, but never with steak. It was great. Even my picky eaters loved this. It is very simple and quick to make. When I asked them to rate it, they said it was definitely five stars.
