ICE BOX GINGER COOKIES 
1 c. shortening
2 c. sugar
3 eggs, beaten
2/3 c. molasses
4 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. ginger
2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt

Cream sugar and shortening together. Add beaten eggs and molasses. Sift the dry ingredients together and blend with the above mixture. Shape into long rolls. Wrap in wax paper and chill several hours or overnight in the refrigerator. Slice and place on a well greased cookie sheet and bake 8 minutes in a 400 degree oven.
