AUNT BARBIE'S WHOLE WHEAT BREAD 
1 qt. skim milk, scalded
3 1/3 c. honey
2 1/4 c. molasses
1 egg
4 tbsp. shortening
4 tsp. salt

Scald milk; add next 5 ingredients. Double the honey and molasses if you prefer a heavier bread. Cool. Meanwhile dissolve 2 packages (2 tablespoons) dry yeast in 1/2 cup water and 2 teaspoons sugar. Add to cool milk mixture. Add 11 cups whole wheat flour. Let stand for 2 hours until doubled in bulk. Knead for 10 minutes.

Shape into 4 loaves and let rise until desired size. Bake at 350 degrees for 50 minutes. Brush with oil when removed from oven.
