1 c. shortening
1/2 c. boiling water
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking powder
3 c. flour

Pour boiling water over shortening. Cream well and let cool. Sift flour, baking powder and salt. Add to creamed mixture. Mix well and roll out for pies.
