1 c. sugar
1/4 stick butter
1/4 c. cocoa
1/4 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla

Place sugar, butter, cocoa, and milk into boiler. Boil for 3 minutes. Remove from burner, then beat in 1 teaspoon vanilla thoroughly. Place over cake, either hot or cold cake. Do not remove hot water cake from baking pan.
