SOUTHERN STRAWBERRY PIE 
3/4 c. sugar
2 tbsp. corn starch
2 tbsp. light corn syrup
1 c. water
3 tbsp. strawberry or raspberry flavored gelatin
1 qt. fresh strawberries
1 (9 inch) baked pie shell

Combine sugar, corn starch, corn syrup and water in a saucepan. Bring to a boil. Cook stirring constantly until clear and thickened. Add gelatin, stirring until dissolved. Cool. Place strawberries in pie shell; pour in gelatin mixture.

Chill until firm. Garnish with whipped topping. Yield 8 servings. Be sure to wash strawberries first and dry well with paper towels.
