BLOND CHOCOLATE CHIP BROWNIES | |
2 c. sifted flour 1 tsp. baking powder 1/4 tsp. baking soda 1 tsp. salt 1 c. chopped nuts 2 c. brown sugar 3 eggs, slightly beaten 2 tsp. vanilla 1 (6 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips 2/3 c. shortening Sift dry ingredients together and add nuts. Melt shortening. Remove from heat. Add sugar and beat well. When cool, add eggs, vanilla, and dry ingredients; mix well. Turn into greased 9 x 13 inch pan. Sprinkle chocolate chips on top. Bake 20 to 25 minutes. Cool in pan. Cut in squares. |
