BAKED PORK CHOP WITH APPLE 
3 tbsp. vegetable oil
6 lg. thick pork chops
1/4 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. black pepper
1/4 tsp. thyme
1/4 tsp. garlic powder
2 c. apples, peeled and sliced
2 tbsp. lemon juice
2 green onions, finely chopped
1/4 c. dark molasses
3 tbsp. flour
2 c. water
1 tbsp. vinegar

Sprinkle salt and spices over pork chops and brown in a skillet with hot fat. Arrange in a casserole dish. Pour lemon juice over apple slices and spread slices and chopped onion evenly over pork chops. Drizzle molasses on top. Add flour to fat in skillet; cook several minutes stirring. Add water; bring to boil. Continue stirring. Add vinegar. Pour over meat and apples. Cover dish with foil and bake in 350 degree oven 50 to 60 minutes.
