BAKED BUTTER BEANS 
1/2 lb. bacon
1/2 c. chopped green pepper
1/2 c. chopped onion
1/2 c. brown sugar
1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
1 c. water
2 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
2 (15 oz.) cans butter beans

Brown bacon and pour off the fat. Keep 2-3 tablespoons of fat. Break up bacon. Add green pepper, onion, water, bacon fat, bacon, brown sugar, tomato paste and Worcestershire sauce. Simmer 30 minutes. Stir frequently. Add beans and bake 30 minutes at 350 degrees.
