SPONGE CAKE 
4 eggs, beaten separately
1 c. sugar
2 tbsp. lemon juice
1/4 tsp. salt
1 c. flour

Beat the egg yolks until light and lemon colored. Add sugar gradually beating constantly. Add the lemon juice and salt and beat again. Cut and fold in the egg whites, beaten stiff, alternately with the sifted flour. Pour into ungreased pans and bake in a moderate 325 to 350 degree oven for 40 to 60 minutes.

SPONGE CAKE BOXES WITH HOT CHOCOLATE SAUCE:

Cut sponge cake into 3-inch squares and hollow-out the center. Cut marshmallows into small pieces, fill the cake boxes with chopped nut meats. Pour over chocolate sauce.
