CHIPPED BEEF ON TOAST 
4 tbsp. butter
4 tbsp. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
2 jars dried beef
2 c. milk
Toast

Melt the butter. Add flour and salt, stir until smooth. Add milk. Stir until thickened. Add chopped dried beef. Serve over toast.

Great for breakfast, brings back memories. Only thing i would suggest is to leave the extra salt out and soak the dried beef in water if you use the bottles dried beef, it is VERY salty if you don't. Also a little cayenne if you want to give it a bit of a kick.

Way too salty for us, might have been the salt content in the chipped beef, used Carl Budding beef. I suggest leaving out the salt and salting to choice after serving. Otherwise excellent!!!

Tasty, but watch the salt -- chipped beef is naturally salty! Make sauce without salt, add later to taste. Also. to add some flavor, add pepper lemon juice and vanilla extra when stirring sauce.
