1 c. butter
1 c. brown sugar
1 egg yolk
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. flour less 1 tbsp. flour
1/4 tsp. salt
6 (7/8 oz.) chocolate bars
1/2 c. chopped nuts or peanuts

Mix butter, sugar, egg yolk and vanilla. Stir in flour and salt until dough is well blended, spread in rectangle 13 x 10 inch or cookie sheet. Bake 10 to 15 minutes, remove from oven immediately. Place separate squares of chocolate on top, let stand until soft and spread over entire surface. Sprinkle with nuts. Cut into squares while warm. Bake 325 degree oven. I also use carob chips in place of chocolate.
