SOFT DATE COOKIES 
1/2 c. butter, softened
1 1/2 c. brown sugar
2 eggs
1 c. sour cream
1 tsp. vanilla
2 1/2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. chopped dates
1 c. chopped nuts

Cream together the butter and brown sugar. Add eggs, sour cream and vanilla; mix well. Add dry ingredients. Stir in dates and nuts.

Drop tablespoonfuls on greased cookie sheet and bake 12-15 minutes in 350 degree oven until light brown.
