2 c. sugar
1 c. shortening
3 eggs
2 c. applesauce
2 c. raisins
2 c. nuts
1 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. allspice
1 tsp. cloves
3 c. flour

Cream the first 3 ingredients together. Add remaining ingredients. Pour into pan and bake 1 hour at 325 degrees. You can leave it plain or add a glaze to it.
