Saltines 2 sticks butter 1 c. brown sugar 12 oz. chocolate chips, melted Line jelly roll pan with foil, bringing up on sides of pan. Grease foil. Arrange saltines on greased foil. In saucepan, heat for 3 minutes, stirring frequently, brown sugar and butter. Pour over crackers, put in 375 degree oven for 5 minutes. Meantime, melt chocolate chips and when crackers are taken from oven spread over top. Chill in refrigerator until ready to serve. Can be broken in irregular pieces or cut into square size. They keep very well refrigerated for a long time. Put in tupperware with foil or saran wrap between layers and cover after candy sets. |
