1/2 c. butter
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
2 1/2 c. cake flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 c. buttermilk
1 tbsp. grated orange rind
1 c. mashed prunes

Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs, one at a time. Sift soda with flour and add alternately with buttermilk. Add orange and prunes. Bake 1 1/2 hours in tube pan at 300 degrees.

FROSTING:

2 c. confectioners' sugar
Juice & grated rind of 2 oranges

Pour over cake while hot. Let cool in pan.
