PRUNE CAKE 
2 c. self-rising flour
2 c. sugar
1 tbsp. reg. cake spice
1 jar jr. prunes (7 or 8 oz. size)
1 c. Wesson or Mazola oil
3 whole eggs

Just barely mix eggs, prunes and oil. Add dry ingredients which have been mixed together. Stir just enough to get together. Add 1 cup of nuts and 1 teaspoon vanilla. Bake in tube pan for 1 hour at 325 degrees.

GLAZE (FOR CAKE IF DESIRED) :

1 block butter
1/2 c. milk (buttermilk)
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 c. sugar
1 tbsp. white Karo syrup

Cook all but vanilla until soft ball is formed when dropped in cold water. Remove from heat. Add vanilla and beat until it thickens and spoon on cake.
