TURKEY ALA KING 
1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 1/2 tsp. chicken bouillon or low sodium soup base
1 1/2 c. milk
1/4 tsp. each garlic and onion powder
1 1/4 c. hot water
2 c. cut-up turkey or chicken
1 c. chopped celery
1 c. chopped carrots
1/4 c. chopped onion
1 c. frozen green peas
1/4 tsp. each thyme and sage

Cook celery, carrots and peas in water (reserve 1 1/4 cups hot water from vegetables) until tender. Melt butter, add flour to make a paste, then add milk and vegetable water and remaining ingredients.

Add cooked vegetables and chicken. Simmer until heated through. Taste and adjust seasonings to your preference.

Serve over biscuits or wide egg noodles. Sprinkle with dried parsley or paprika for extra color before serving.

This was very good. I had some turkey stock, so I used that to cook the veggies in. My husband is not a fan of potent herbs such as thyme or sage, so I eliminated all seasonings except salt and pepper and replaced the frozen green peas with sugar snap peas cooked on the side. I will definitely make this again!
