1 lb. sugar (2 c.)
3 eggs, beaten
1 lb. flour (4 c.)
1/2 lb. butter (do use butter, not substitute)
2 tsp. baking powder

Cream butter, add sugar and cream until fluffy. Add the beaten eggs. Add the sifted flour and baking powder. Let dough stand in cool place. Roll cookies thin, cut out, wash with white of egg and sprinkle with granulated sugar. Piece of nut may be put on cookie. Bake in 400 degree oven 8 to 10 minutes.
