CHINESE GROUND BEEF CASSEROLE 
1 lb. ground beef
2 tbsp. shortening
2 med. sized onions, chopped
1 c. chopped celery
1 can mushroom soup
1 can cream of chicken soup
1/2 c. warm water
1/2 c. uncooked rice
1 tbsp. soy sauce
Season to taste
Chow mein noodles

Brown meat in shortening until slightly brown and crumbly. Add onions, celery, soups, water, rice and seasonings. Pour into greased casserole. Cover. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes; uncover and bake another 30 minutes. Sprinkle 1 can of chow mein noodles on top and bake 15 minutes more.
