LEMON BUTTER DESSERT SAUCE 
1/3 c. butter, melted
1 c. sugar
1/4 c. lemon juice
1 1/2 tsp. finely grated lemon rind
1 egg, well beaten

Mix butter and sugar in pan with the rind, juice and egg. Cook on low heat until boiling. Remove from heat and serve hot with pound cake, sponge cake or sweet quick bread. Makes 1 1/2 cups.
