SQUIRREL STEW 
4 squirrels (can use other meat)
2 lg. onions
1 can tomato paste
1 can whole tomatoes
1 sm. pkg. frozen peas
6-8 carrots, cut into slices or chunks
2-3 stalks celery, sliced
1-1 1/2 c. barley or macaroni
Salt
Pepper
Oregano
Thyme
Bay leaves

Boil squirrel with onion until tender, about 1 hour. Remove from heat and remove squirrels from liquid to cool. Strain broth and discard onion. Remove meat from bones and set aside.

Return broth to pan, add meat and seasonings to taste and add other ingredients except barley or macaroni. Cook until veggies are tender. Add barley or macaroni and simmer an additional 20-30 minutes.
