SAUERKRAUT DELUXE 
6 strips bacon
1 c. onions, chopped
2 tbsp. brown sugar
1/2 c. beef broth
4 c. sauerkraut, drained
1 (2 oz.) jar pimiento, diced
1 c. commercial sour cream
Poppy seed, as needed

Fry diced bacon until crispy. Add onions and brown. Add brown sugar and beef broth; mix well. Add sauerkraut and pimiento; mix lightly. Simmer 15 minutes to blend flavors. Serve topped with sour cream and a sprinkle of poppy seed. Yield: 8 servings.
