PECAN CANDY 
2 lg. cans Carnation milk
4 c. sugar
2 sticks butter
2 c. chopped pecans
Dash of vanilla

In medium sized aluminum pot with handle, pour in milk and sugar. Bring to a boil and then add butter and vanilla. Let cook on low flame and stir continually until mixture thickens. You may add pecans at any time now. Cook until candy is light brown and starts to leave the side of the pot as you stir. This process takes about one and one-half hours. Before starting your candy, you should prepare an area on your counter with butter or oil, large enough to accommodate the candy you have made. Cut into small squares or drops and enjoy.
