MISS IDA'S LEMON CAKE 
1 box lemon cake mix
2 lemons
2 tbsp. cornstarch
1 c. sugar
2 egg yolks, beaten
3/4 c. water

Bake cake according to directions on box.

Grate the 2 lemons and set aside. Squeeze the lemons and add juice to the grated rind. In a medium saucepan combine cornstarch and sugar, mix well, on medium heat, begin adding water a little at a time stirring constantly. Add the juice and grated rind. Heat to boiling, boil one minute. Add egg yolks, boil one minute more, stirring constantly. Remove from heat, let cool completely.

Ice cake that is cooled. Add a couple of lemon slices or twists to top for decoration.
