BEEF STEW 
1 tbsp. oil
1 lb. round steak, cut into 1" cubes
5-6 lg. carrots, sliced
3 stalks chopped celery
3-4 lg. potatoes, peeled & cubed
1 med. onion, chopped
1 (10 1/2 oz.) can condensed beef broth
1 (10 3/4 oz.) can golden mushroom soup
1 1/2 c. water
1/2 tsp. thyme leaves
Pepper to taste

In a Dutch oven over medium high heat, heat oil until hot. Add beef cubes. Cook and stir until browned on all sides. Stir in remaining ingredients. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer partially covered for 1 to 1 1/2 hours or until meat and vegetables are tender.
