GRANDMOTHER'S CHOCOLATE PECAN
WAFERS
 
1/2 c. Crisco
1 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs, well beaten
3/4 c. sifted flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. sugar
3 oz. melted chocolate
3/4 c. pecans

Combine Crisco, salt and vanilla. Add sugar gradually and cream well. Add beaten eggs and mix thoroughly. Blend in chocolate. Add flour and nuts, and mix well. Drop from tip of teaspoons onto greased cookie sheet. Spread out to flatten. Bake in 325 degree oven for 12-15 minutes. Makes 2 1/2 dozen.

May be doubled using 5 eggs and 5 squares chocolate.
