LITE SMOKED SAUSAGE ITALIANO 
1/2 lb. Hillshire Farm lite smoked sausage, cut into thin circles
2 garlic cloves, minced
2 c. sliced fresh mushrooms
2 c. coarsely chopped fresh tomatoes
1 1/2 tsp. dried basil or 1/2 c. coarsely chopped fresh basil leaves
4 oz. extra thin spaghetti, cooked
2 tbsp. capers, rinsed and drained (optional)
Salt and freshly ground pepper to taste

In a non-stick skillet, saute sausage, garlic, mushrooms and basil 2-3 minutes. Remove from heat, add tomatoes. Toss tomato mixture, hot pasta and capers. Season to taste. Serve immediately. Makes 4 servings.

Total preparation and cooking time: 15 minutes.

SALAD VARIATION: Add 1/4 cup white wine vinegar. Chill until ready to serve.
