HUNGARIAN GOULASH | |
2 lbs. stew meat Flour for dredging 1 lg. onion, chopped 1 clove garlic, minced 1/2 c. catsup 2 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce 1 tbsp. brown sugar 2 tsp. salt 2 tsp. paprika 1/2 tsp. dry mustard 1 c. water Cooked noodles OR cooked rice 1/4 c. flour Dredge the meat in flour and brown it in the Crock-Pot. Cover with the onion. Combine the garlic, catsup, Worcestershire sauce, sugar, salt, paprika and mustard. Stir in the water and pour the whole mixture over the meat. Cook on Low for 8-9 hours. Turn control to High. Add the 1/4 c. flour to the 1 c. water and mix well. Stir into the meat mixture. Cook on High 10-15 minutes, or until slightly thickened. Serve over noodles or cooked rice. Serves 5-6. |
